Position Overview
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will serve as the initial contact point for potential customers, engaging proactively with prospects to understand their needs and qualify leads in a dynamic B2B SaaS environment.
Work Arrangement & Location
This is a hybrid role requiring presence onsite 3 days a week in Toronto, with occasional travel to industry events and conferences. Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada. Blue J provides travel and accommodation support for onboarding if commuting from outside the local area.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for inbound prospects from various channels, ensuring quick and professional responses.
- Manage inbound lead queues efficiently, meeting targets for rapid lead engagement and follow-ups.
- Conduct discovery communications through multiple formats such as phone, email, chat, and video calls to assess prospect needs and fit.
- Schedule qualified meetings for Account Executives, ensuring seamless transition of prospects.
- Maintain ongoing communication with early-stage prospects to nurture them until ready for sales engagement.
- Keep Salesforce and related CRM tools updated accurately to reflect engagement activities.
- Provide marketing team with insights on lead quality, market trends, and customer feedback.
- Support outbound prospecting initiatives as required.
- Represent Blue J professionally in webinars, conferences, and other customer events both virtually and in-person.
- Develop and maintain a professional LinkedIn presence aligned with company goals.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly targets including meetings booked, lead response speed, conversion rates, pipeline development, and overall customer experience.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 1 year professional experience; tech sales background is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to cultivate strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
