Role Overview and Location
This role is hybrid, located in Toronto, requiring the successful candidate to be present in the downtown office twice weekly while enjoying flexibility to work remotely on other days. Eligibility to work in Canada is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and others to define and implement the product roadmap, guiding products from initial concept to final launch.
- Analyze competitive market conditions and trends to steer product strategy and prioritize development initiatives effectively.
- Engage with both end users and internal stakeholders to pinpoint challenges, market gaps, and unmet user needs.
- Work closely with Marketing and Sales divisions to create and execute effective go-to-market plans ensuring product launch success.
- Develop a deep understanding of client and user needs through a blend of qualitative and quantitative research methods to shape product features and enhancements.
- Compose detailed product specifications and user stories, coordinating with engineering on scoping, sequencing, and delivering features.
- Define and track success metrics post-launch, regularly integrating user feedback and usage data into iterative product development.
- Effectively communicate roadmap progress, prioritization, and trade-offs to various stakeholders across the organization.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing products within B2B SaaS environments, coupled with a robust technical background.
- Capability to work closely with engineering teams on system architecture, trade-offs, and implementation decisions, and a proven record in bringing software products from concept to launch.
- Proficient in combining qualitative insights and quantitative data (user research, analytics, market trends) to make informed prioritization choices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills that facilitate breaking down complex, vague problems into actionable tasks.
- Exceptional communication abilities across spoken, written, and presentation formats to unify diverse groups towards common goals.
- A collaborative mindset emphasizing diplomacy and tact, thriving in team-oriented environments.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience is required.
- Experience leveraging AI tools and emergent technologies to enhance operational efficiency, optimize workflows, and advance industry leadership.
