Role Overview

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is a critical driver of Stripe's growth by collaborating with Demand Generation and Account Executive teams to qualify leads and contribute to building a robust sales pipeline. This role suits an individual who enjoys engaging with prospective clients, adept at identifying high-value opportunities, managing early stages of the sales funnel, and actively contributing to optimizing demand generation strategies and sales processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pinpoint promising businesses, industry verticals, and markets then implement outbound campaigns to attract them to Stripe.
  • Qualify sales opportunities from marketing-generated leads and facilitate their progression through the sales funnel by connecting them with sales personnel and organizing meetings.
  • Initiate and manage campaigns from conceptualization through to qualified calls, optimizing for scalability.
  • Develop and document best practices and sales workflows for both standardized and personalized prospect interactions.
  • Engage with potential customers via cold calls or responses to marketing inquiries.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives in strategizing and penetrating assigned accounts.
  • Build rapport with prospects, uncover needs through effective questioning, and qualify interest for smooth sales hand-offs.
  • Follow up with interested potential clients that did not convert immediately to sales prospects.
  • Manage lead lists by meeting or exceeding SLAs, maintaining CRM records, and supporting weekly reporting.
  • Offer feedback to Marketing to enhance targeting and messaging strategies.
  • Assist customers with activation and deployment of contracted Stripe services.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven record of high performance or prior success in similar roles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Keen interest in technology sectors.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • Experience working in a rapidly growing technology company.

Work Environment Expectations

The role requires spending at least 50% of work time at the local office or with users. In certain locations, including Dublin, employees are expected to work entirely onsite. Attendance requirements may differ by role and team to best support users and workflows.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual On Target Earnings (OTE) range is €56,560 to €84,800 for the Dublin location. This figure includes base salary and sales commissions/bonuses and may be adjusted based on several factors including experience and exact location. Benefits may include equity, company bonuses, retirement plans, health coverage, and wellness stipends.
