Sales Associate

Position Objective

The Sales Associate serves as the brand ambassador, aiming to boost sales and provide outstanding customer service. This position involves upholding store standards, aiding visual merchandising efforts, and contributing to the overall retail environment while performing operational responsibilities assigned by Store Management.

Primary Duties

• Welcome customers warmly and assist them in choosing products that suit their requirements.
• Engage window shoppers proactively to convert them into purchasers.
• Promote the company’s loyalty program to foster customer retention and repeat business.
• Provide excellent customer service following the company’s GUEST approach (Greet, Understand, Explain, Sell, Thank).
• Keep informed about various brands within the group to facilitate effective recommendations and cross-selling.
• Educate customers on product specifications, benefits, materials, and care guidelines.

Appearance and Knowledge

• Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times.
• Be adaptable to working extended hours during busy sales periods.
• Continuously update product knowledge to prevent inventory loss and offer accurate guidance.

Merchandising Responsibilities

• Arrange products attractively consistent with store layout standards.
• Follow visual merchandising guidelines and handle stock management carefully, especially clearance items.
• Keep precise inventory records of stock movements.
• Actively upsell and cross-sell products to maximize sales potential.
• Possess thorough knowledge of stock availability and promotions to communicate clearly with customers.

Operational Procedures

• Use the Point of Sale system efficiently to handle billing and transactions.
• Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Process payments accurately via cash, cards, vouchers, or direct debits.
• Issue correct receipts, refunds, and change to customers.
• Maintain vigilance for store security and rigorously apply loss prevention policies.
• Ensure stock levels on the sales floor are replenished and merchandise is well presented at all times.

Desired Qualifications

The suitable candidate should hold a bachelor's degree and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to contribute to a positive shopping experience. Previous sales experience is advantageous.
