Sales Associate

Position Objective

The Sales Associate serves as the brand ambassador aiming to boost sales while providing outstanding customer experience. Key duties include upholding store standards, aiding in visual merchandising, and supporting the overall retail environment as directed by Store Management.

Customer Service

• Welcome customers and assist in selecting products tailored to their needs.
• Engage with visitors proactively to convert them into buyers.
• Encourage participation in the company loyalty program to drive repeat business.
• Deliver excellent service following the company’s GUEST philosophy (Greet, Understand, Explain, Sell, Thank).
• Stay knowledgeable about multiple brands within the group for effective suggestions and cross-selling.
• Inform customers about product details, including features, benefits, materials, and care instructions.

Grooming, Attitude, and Knowledge

• Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times.
• Demonstrate flexibility to work extended hours during peak sales seasons.
• Keep updated on product information to minimize stock losses and offer accurate advice.

Merchandising

• Arrange merchandise attractively in line with store layout standards.
• Follow visual merchandising guidelines and manage clearance stock according to protocols.
• Keep precise inventory records for stock movements.
• Employ upselling and cross-selling techniques to enhance sales.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of inventory and promotions to assist customers effectively.

Process

• Handle Point of Sale (POS) operations efficiently for billing.
• Balance cash drawer at the start and end of shifts.
• Process transactions accurately including cash, credit cards, vouchers, and automatic debits.
• Provide correct receipts, refunds, and change to customers.
• Maintain vigilance to uphold store security and comply with loss prevention measures.
• Restock and arrange merchandise on the sales floor to ensure consistent product availability.

Desired Qualification

Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to enhance the customer experience. Prior sales experience is preferred.
