Safety Officer

Role Overview

The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring the implementation and supervision of safety protocols adhering to relevant local, state, and national regulations, including standards such as OSHA. This role involves conducting regular audits, meetings, and inspections aimed at recognizing and addressing workplace hazards.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement safety policies and procedures compliant with legal and regulatory standards.
• Carry out routine safety audits and organize weekly, fortnightly, and monthly safety meetings.
• Identify potential hazards through systematic inspections and take corrective measures to mitigate risks.
• Design and deliver safety training sessions for employees to promote a culture of safety awareness.
• Conduct investigation of workplace accidents and incidents to ascertain root causes and establish preventative and corrective actions.
• Maintain current records of safety audits according to standards like OSHAS and IATF, and regularly review the Emergency Response Plan (ERP).

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA guidelines, risk evaluation, emergency preparedness, and safety auditing techniques.
• Certification in First Aid and training in fire safety protocols.
• Experience using safety management software proficiently.

Eligibility

Applicants should hold a B.Tech or B.E. degree in any specialization, or diplomas in Industrial Safety, Fire and Safety Engineering, or a B.Sc degree in Fire and Safety.
