Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Safety Consultant specializing in Process Safety to enhance our team. The role demands solid expertise in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) with a focus on providing actionable, risk-informed safety strategies across industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide and participate in Process Safety Management (PSM) tasks.
- Organize and facilitate hazard identification techniques such as HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, and Bow-Tie analyses.
- Perform comprehensive process safety and HSE risk evaluations.
- Manage risks associated with Major Accident Hazards (MAH).
- Develop, update, and assess safety management systems and operational procedures.
- Conduct audits focused on process safety, identify gaps, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Support Management of Change (MOC) processes and day-to-day operational risk handling.
- Lead or contribute to investigations of incidents and perform root cause analyses.
- Create safety performance metrics and assurance programs.
- Offer expert technical safety guidance to clients and project teams.
- Provide training, mentoring, and development opportunities to enhance safety competencies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, HSE, Process Safety, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience in HSE and Process Safety, particularly in oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical, energy, or comparable high-hazard sectors.
- In-depth understanding of PSM frameworks and risk assessment techniques.
- Proficiency with methodologies including HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, Bow-Tie, and other process safety evaluations.
- Excellent communication skills with a proven ability for consulting and managing stakeholders.
- Professional safety certifications like NEBOSH, CSP, CFSE, TÜV Functional Safety, or similar credentials are advantageous.
