Role Overview

The Runner supports the Front of House staff by ensuring prompt delivery of food and drinks and lending assistance during service. This role directly impacts guest satisfaction by maintaining service speed, accuracy, and quality presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Promptly deliver food and beverages to tables with professional manner
• Verify correctness of presentation, temperature, and order accuracy before serving
• Assist waitstaff with table setup, clearing, and resetting during busy periods
• Keep service and pass areas clean, tidy, and well-organized
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and service teams regarding order progress and guest needs
• Restock essentials such as cutlery, napkins, condiments, and menus
• Adhere strictly to hygiene, safety, and food handling policies
• Interact courteously with guests and promptly escalate issues to supervisors
• Contribute to seamless overall restaurant operations to enhance guest experience

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or food and beverage service is advantageous
• Fundamental knowledge of food service and hospitality norms
• Capability to perform well in a fast-paced, pressure-filled environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Preferred knowledge of hygiene and safety protocols
