Role Summary

The Room Attendant is responsible for attending to guest room cleaning and upkeep, ensuring guest comfort and satisfaction. Duties involve promptly responding to requests, preparing and transporting supply carts, entering rooms per procedure, replenishing amenities, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, disposing waste, verifying appliance functionality, tidying furniture and fixtures, dusting, polishing, vacuuming carpets, and doing floor care in guest rooms and hallways.

Health, Safety, and Conduct

The role requires following all safety and security protocols, reporting hazards or maintenance issues, completing required safety training, and storing hazardous materials appropriately. Personal appearance must be clean and professional, and confidentiality of proprietary information must be maintained.

Guest Service Expectations

Room Attendants are expected to welcome guests warmly, anticipate and fulfill service needs, assist those with disabilities, communicate clearly and professionally, thank guests sincerely, and collaborate effectively with team members to achieve shared goals. The role demands adherence to strict quality standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds solo, and heavier items with assistance.
• Capable of pushing and pulling loaded housekeeping carts over uneven surfaces.
• Capacity for bending, stooping, twisting, reaching overhead and below the knees throughout the shift.
• Endurance to stand, sit, kneel or walk for prolonged periods during the workday.
• Good hand-eye coordination to handle objects requiring fine motor skills.
