About the Role

Join Octopus Energy Services in their ambitious effort to accelerate the renewable energy transition by delivering smart technology and low carbon solutions across the UK. As part of their Solar PV installation crew, you'll contribute to reducing carbon footprints by installing solar panels on homes while providing excellent customer support.

Key Responsibilities

• Manually handling and transporting materials related to solar installations.
• Running electrical cables and conduits on rooftops.
• Grinding tiles and fitting materials as necessary for installation preparation.
• Removing waste and debris during and post installation.
• Providing crucial assistance to electricians during solar panel setup on roofs.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrable experience as a roofer's laborer or mate.
• Familiarity working with pitched slate or tile roofs.
• Sound understanding of roofing materials, repair techniques, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Comfortable and experienced working at heights.

Compensation and Benefits

• A starting base salary of £30,000 with eligibility for overtime pay.
• Additional London weighting allowance for those living within the M25 area.
• Salary increments following successful completion of training and mentorship programs.
• An annual bonus of £2,500 contingent on performance against key performance indicators.
