Roof Membrane Installer

About the Role

Vertiv is looking to appoint a skilled Roof Membrane Installer for their manufacturing and installation team based in Letterkenny, County Donegal, Ireland. This permanent, full-time role centers on installing roof membrane systems on data centre modular units both at the facility and external project sites as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Install various roof membrane systems, including hot-air welded, mechanically fixed, and fully bonded types.
• Execute roofing work on data centre modular units ensuring durable, weather-proof finishes.
• Prepare surfaces by installing insulation boards, vapour barriers, edge treatments, and handling penetrations.
• Fit trims, upstands, outlets, and carry out detailed sealing around services and connection points.
• Interpret and follow drawings, product specifications, and technical data sheets accurately.
• Conduct thorough quality inspections to confirm adherence to project specifications.
• Maintain rigorous Health & Safety standards throughout all operations.
• Collaborate effectively with production, quality assurance, and site teams to meet schedules.
• Travel to customer or project sites to perform installations as needed.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in roof membrane system installation.
• Solid experience in flat roofing, preferably within industrial or modular contexts.
• Sound understanding of roof detailing, welding processes, and system assemblies.
• Ability to work autonomously with little supervision.
• Strong attention to quality and detail.
• Willingness to travel to various site locations.
• Physically capable and comfortable working at heights if necessary.

Preferred Qualifications and Certifications

• Certification as a roof membrane installer.
• Safe Pass and Manual Handling credentials.
• MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) or Working at Heights certification.
• Experience working on data centre or other mission-critical projects.
