Roll Up Operator

Job Overview

The Roll Up Operator position at Nourison Home, located in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area, involves managing the wrapping and labeling of rolls at the broadloom inspection table. This role reports directly to the Broadloom Inspection Table Supervisor and is crucial for maintaining product quality and safety during the inspection process.

Responsibilities

• Operate the inspection table to wrap and label rolls accurately.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, avoiding placing hands or body parts near moving components.
• Communicate safety concerns or operational issues promptly by informing supervisors and inspectors, including using the "Time Out" signal when necessary.
• Ensure the correct size core is used in each roll and that rolls are tightly and evenly wound.
• Identify improperly rolled products and coordinate re-rolling to meet quality standards.
• Attach the appropriate tags or shipping labels to each roll securely.
• Assist in quality control efforts by checking roll quality and color accuracy and reporting problems accordingly.
• Perform daily machine maintenance and cleaning, including verifying the accuracy of the table measuring device with a test roll and reporting any machine issues to the supervisor.

Working Hours

This is a full-time position requiring availability Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
