Retail Store Manager

Position Overview

We are actively seeking a dedicated Retail Store Manager to join our team in Edmonton. This role offers the chance to nurture exceptional customer and employee experiences while driving sales and leading a dynamic retail operation. As a Store Manager, often titled Store Leader at Best Buy, you will oversee the entire store, from directing assistant store leaders and team leads to collaborating with various business sectors and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all store operations including leadership of assistant store leaders, team leads, and sales advisors.
• Motivate, coach, and develop team members to enhance customer satisfaction and ensure product knowledge and service excellence.
• Foster an inclusive, engaging, and enjoyable team and learning environment.
• Monitor and drive store key performance indicators such as revenue, merchandising standards, inventory management, and health and safety compliance.
• Maintain profitability by effectively managing the store's profit and loss.

Candidate Profile

• At least 5 years' experience as a retail store manager.
• Proven leadership of retail teams comprising 50 or more employees in stores generating over $30 million in annual sales.
• Demonstrated ability in managing and analyzing operational expenses and revenues over 5 years.
• Consistent track record of meeting or surpassing sales targets in high-volume retail settings.
• Leadership style that emphasizes leading by example on the sales floor to boost employee engagement, customer experience, and revenue growth.
• Capability to cultivate a diverse, enjoyable, and safe workplace.
• Requires permanent placement at one of the Edmonton store locations with reliable commuting capability.
