Job description
Overview
As a Retail Store Manager for Bata India Ltd in Mumbai, you will lead store operations to achieve targeted sales while upholding company policies and brand image. You will be responsible for the store's profitability and overall management, ensuring excellent customer service and operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee store management adhering to company policies to enhance customer satisfaction and maximize revenue.
- Take full operational and financial ownership of the assigned store.
- Provide leadership to the team by motivating, coaching, and training staff for operational excellence and customer service passion.
- Maintain and monitor various sales performance tools including Prosperity Cards and Performance Review Cards.
- Conduct daily and weekly meetings to communicate targets, review sales and staff performance, share product knowledge, and plan stock clearance actions.
- Manage merchandise by maintaining optimal stock levels across categories and ensuring stock turnover meets company standards.
- Coordinate with district managers to ensure timely and accurate stock replenishment, including route planning for store resupply.
- Control daily store operations such as scheduling sales promoters, maintaining operational hours, and overseeing store readiness and hygiene.
- Initiate and execute minor store renovations and repairs with appropriate approvals.
- Ensure visual merchandising compliance, including thematic displays and special promotion zones.
- Manage manpower by aligning staffing with productivity standards, ensuring training, punctuality, discipline, and resolving staff grievances promptly.
Additional Information
Salary ranges from INR 25,000 to INR 40,000 per month.
