About Rooms To Go and Role Overview
Rooms To Go, a leading furniture retailer established in 1991 with nearly 200 stores across ten southern states, is expanding and invites candidates to join as Retail Stock Associates at our Greater Houston retail locations. This dynamic role involves various duties that contribute to our fast-paced retail environment, focusing on furniture handling and showroom maintenance. As part of our team, you'll be valued for your efforts and have opportunities for career progression into managerial or sales positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle the packaging, wrapping, loading, and unloading of furniture purchased by customers.
- Arrange furniture items in the showroom under the guidance of store designers and management.
- Maintain the cleanliness and overall presentation of the showroom to enhance customer experience.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Ability to lift, repetitively, furniture items weighing up to 50 pounds during daily activities.
- Willingness to perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks in the showroom.
- Flexibility to work varied retail shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in furniture handling or janitorial roles is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting wage ranging from $14 to $16 per hour, determined by prior experience.
- Eligibility for medical, dental, vision, and other benefits based on hours worked.
- Full-time employees working 30 hours or more qualify for additional benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), life insurance, paid time off, and employee assistance programs.
