Role Summary
The Retail Sales Advisor serves as a vital ambassador for Oak Furnitureland, engaging directly with customers in our showroom to guide them in selecting furniture and accessories that best suit their home needs. Utilizing expert product knowledge and a consultative sales approach, advisors work to provide an outstanding buying experience every time.
Key Duties
- Deliver exceptional customer service by leveraging comprehensive knowledge of Oak Furnitureland’s diverse product range.
- Apply the Retail Sales Model to identify customer needs and recommend suitable purchase options.
- Enhance customer satisfaction metrics such as Net Promoter Score and Trust Pilot ratings, fostering repeat business and enhancing brand loyalty.
- Consistently meet or exceed personal and team sales KPIs to drive overall showroom success.
- Collaborate closely with management to promote an inclusive, purpose-driven team culture in line with company values.
- Engage with Visual Merchandising and Facilities teams to maintain a safe, appealing retail environment that highlights product offerings.
- Participate in performance development initiatives to align personal growth with business objectives.
- Comply with all Oak Furnitureland policies, ensuring procedural integrity in daily operations.
- Stay informed about market trends and internal changes impacting customer experience and sales.
- Keep product knowledge current through continuous training to enhance sales effectiveness.
- Accurately process customer data following all regulatory and company guidelines.
- Promote and support a seamless omnichannel customer journey, utilizing digital tools to assist purchasing decisions.
Experience and Qualifications
- Proven track record in customer-facing retail roles, preferably within furniture or similar consultative sales settings.
- Experienced in using structured sales methodologies to meet sales targets.
- Strong communication skills, adept at questioning, listening, and influencing customers positively.
- Demonstrated success within high-performing teams, consistently achieving ambitious goals and KPIs.
- Insight into the correlation between customer satisfaction metrics and business outcomes.
- Current understanding of furniture sector products, competitors, and unique selling points.
- Familiarity with applicable regulations and ability to adhere to company policies.
- Awareness of consumer buying motivations and external factors affecting purchase behaviors.
Working Hours and Compensation
This full-time role involves a 40-hour workweek spread over 5 days, with one weekend off every six weeks. The position offers an uncapped commission up to 4% on sales, alongside a base salary.
