Role Overview

The Retail Custodial Associate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the store, with a particular focus on floor care. Tasks include operating floor scrubbers and buffers, dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows. The role demands adherence to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards while supporting various areas of the store through cross-training.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate role model behavior for outstanding customer service toward both internal and external customers.
• Promote and uphold a positive store culture founded on honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Ensure all floor care cleanliness standards are met, including operation and maintenance of cleaning equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards across the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
• Follow company health and safety policies, including replenishment of essential supplies in lounges, restrooms, and front end areas.
• Be cross-trained to assist in multiple store departments such as backroom, front end, and sales floor.
• Provide coverage and support for front end operations as needed.
• Comply with merchandising guidelines and signage standards.
• Assist with store recovery activities throughout the day as required.
• Adhere to operational and loss prevention controls consistent with company policies to minimize shrinkage.
• Maintain clear and accurate communication with management and fellow associates.
• Observe labor laws and company procedures including meal and break time policies for associates.
• Participate actively in safety awareness programs to sustain a safe workplace.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Strong teamwork skills, collaborates well with peers and supervisors.
• Previous retail customer experience is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting pay for this position ranges from $13.25 to $13.75 per hour, with exact pay determined by qualifications and experience.
