Overview
The Retail & Commercial Interface Manager oversees all retail and commercial aspects throughout the metro network, ensuring smooth coordination between commercial activities and metro service operations. This role includes maximizing asset utilization, facilitating revenue growth initiatives, managing commercial contracts, and advising the client on related risks and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage interfaces between retail/commercial teams and metro operations to align commercial initiatives with operational needs and enhance passenger experience.
- Identify and develop commercial opportunities within metro stations, depots, and associated assets to boost revenues and optimize asset use.
- Administer and monitor commercial contracts, leases, licenses, and agreements with retailers, advertisers, and partners.
- Collaborate closely with Operations & Maintenance contractors for successful implementation of retail and advertising activities in the metro environment.
- Develop and maintain commercial management strategies, policies, and procedures that support project goals.
- Track commercial performance indicators such as revenue, occupancy rates, and contractual compliance, ensuring business targets are met.
- Provide strategic advice to clients on commercial plans, revenue optimization, contractual matters, and risk mitigation.
- Produce and deliver reports on retail and commercial activities, including financial forecasts and strategic recommendations.
- Engage stakeholders including internal teams, operators, tenants, government bodies, and commercial partners to realize commercial objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, safety standards, and contractual requirements within the metro commercial operations.
- Assist procurement and tendering for commercial tenders including concessions, retail spaces, and advertising opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commercial Management, Real Estate, Marketing, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Master's degree or professional certification is advantageous.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in commercial management, retail operations, asset management, or concessions management, preferably in transportation, metro, rail, aviation, or large infrastructure sectors.
- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial leasing, contract administration, revenue generation strategies, and retail operations.
- Proven experience navigating stakeholder relationships involving public sector clients, operators, contractors, and commercial tenants.
