Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the restaurant and its equipment through daily and deep cleaning activities.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and basic repairs on restaurant equipment and building facilities.
• Monitor safety and operational conditions of the location to ensure a secure, well-maintained environment.
• Inspect and test equipment to identify malfunctions, performing minor repairs as needed including lighting issues.
• Execute scheduled and unscheduled cleaning tasks including pressure washing interior and exterior areas.
• Understand and follow equipment manuals, work orders, safety guidelines, and regulatory procedures.
• Keep detailed, up-to-date maintenance records and ensure compliance with Zaxbys policies and franchising guidelines.
• Report human resources or risk management issues promptly to management and escalate operational concerns when necessary.
• Perform additional duties necessary to keep restaurant operations running smoothly.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Reliable transportation is necessary.
• Availability for full-time work ranging from 32 to 40 hours weekly, including flexible scheduling with days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Demonstrate leadership, organizational abilities, and cooperative interpersonal skills.

Physical and Capability Requirements

• Ability to continuously sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
• Occasional need to stoop, bend, crouch, climb ladders.
• Lift, push or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds frequently, including overhead lifting.
• Use hands and wrists for grasping and detailed manual tasks.
• Communicate effectively through verbal and written means.
• Maintain sensory perception to safely observe and act within varied environments.
• Work both indoors and outdoors with exposure to temperature fluctuations and allergens.
• Safely operate restaurant equipment such as knives and fryers.
