Job description
Overview
This role requires proficiency in English and mandates that work be performed at the designated physical location in Lethbridge, Alberta. Remote work is not an option.
Education and Experience
- Completion of secondary (high) school education is essential.
- Applicants should have between one and two years of relevant professional experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure both general and specialized equipment, materials, and essential business services.
- Evaluate the establishment's needs to define specifications for required supplies and equipment.
- Engage in supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms.
- Maintain regular consultations with suppliers to ensure alignment and quality.
- Handle recruitment, provide training, and oversee the performance of purchasing staff.
- Analyze and review supplier quotations for suitability and cost-effectiveness.
- Establish and manage contract terms and conditions to protect organizational interests.
- Set up delivery timetables and closely monitor their adherence.
