Residences Public Area Supervisor

Position Summary

The Residences Public Area Supervisor at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is responsible for ensuring impeccable cleanliness and quality standards in guest rooms, public areas, and pool facilities. This role involves inspecting cleaned areas, managing room statuses, coordinating across departments such as Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry, and addressing any discrepancies with the Front Desk. Additionally, the Supervisor supports daily housekeeping management activities, including preparing and relaying updates on room assignments and shift transitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of guest rooms and public spaces post-cleaning to uphold quality standards.
• Analyze sold room reports to track room status, identify discrepancies, and prioritize cleaning tasks.
• Collaborate with Front Desk to document and resolve conditions of discrepant rooms.
• Support hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching housekeeping staff.
• Serve as a liaison among Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments.
• Enforce company policies and safety procedures; promptly report maintenance, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Maintain a professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Welcome guests warmly according to company standards and assist with service needs, including accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate effectively and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and guests.
• Physically perform tasks involving lifting, pushing, and pulling equipment and materials, and manage work-related machinery over uneven surfaces.
• Complete all required documentation and safety training as part of job duties.
• Follow additional reasonable duties as directed by Supervisors.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• At least one year of relevant work experience in housekeeping or related fields.
• At least one year of supervisory experience.
• No specific licenses or certifications are required.
