About the Role and Institution
The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University is recognized globally for its academic excellence and research impact. With a large student population including over 3,000 undergraduates and 2,000 graduate students, it is one of the largest schools in its field and notably ranked 4th worldwide in Electrical & Electronic Engineering according to the 2025 QS World University Rankings.
We seek a Research Fellow to engage in a project focusing on the stability analysis and control of interconnected power systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement measurement-based techniques to derive static and dynamic equivalents of external power grids.
- Develop a stochastic differential algebraic equation framework to model and analyze the coupling of electromechanical and electromagnetic dynamics in power systems.
- Create data-driven approaches to evaluate and control power system stability considering stochastic energy resources.
Job Requirements
- Possession of a PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated expert knowledge in power system stability and dynamics.
