About the Role
The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) at a leading university encourages applications from diverse backgrounds, promoting equality regardless of age, gender, race, religion, marital status, family responsibilities, or disability. The school is looking to appoint a Research Associate specializing in cryptography who will contribute to research activities and support teaching within the Master of Science in Cyber Security (Applied Cryptography) program.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced research focused on symmetric-key cryptography, aiming to publish papers in Tier 1 academic journals.
- Lead and manage project teams consisting of PhD students engaged in cryptography research.
- Support the delivery and instruction of cryptography-related courses within the MSCS-CRYPTO master’s curriculum.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Possession of a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Cryptography, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of pertinent experience in cryptography research or a comparable role involving technical hands-on work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in programming using C and C++ languages.
- Strong interpersonal skills including the capability to work autonomously, develop innovative solutions under strict deadlines, attention to detail, and exemplary organizational and time management skills.
