Repairs & Services Specialist

Position Overview

The Repairs & Services Specialist will play a critical role in supporting both maintenance and manufacturing activities within the facility. This hands-on role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining production machinery and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and solve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues in production machines and equipment through troubleshooting and diagnosis.
• Execute preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance to reduce downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
• Ensure manufacturing operations run smoothly by having machines, tools, fixtures, and equipment properly maintained and ready for use.
• Perform machine setup, adjustments, calibrations, and changeovers aligned with production needs.
• Provide technical support to production teams to resolve issues swiftly and maintain workflow continuity.
• Assist in manufacturing processes ensuring quality, safety, and productivity standards are met.
• Collaborate closely with the Engineering team on new product introductions, including supporting trials, validation runs, and process adjustments.
• Offer technical insights concerning machine capability, process feasibility, tooling, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Determine root causes of machine failures or production inefficiencies, proposing effective prevention strategies.
• Drive initiatives to improve machine performance, safety, quality, productivity, and process reliability.
• Conduct regular inspections ensuring compliance with operational standards.
• Maintain thorough records of maintenance activities, repairs, parts usage, machine conditions, setups, and process modifications.
• Adhere strictly to safety procedures, company standards, and good manufacturing practices.
• Work collaboratively with teams across Engineering, Production, Quality, and Maintenance to promote continuous improvement.
• Contribute to meeting key performance indicators related to uptime, efficiency, quality, safety, cost control, and timely changeovers.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong grounding in mechanical and electrical systems within manufacturing settings.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial machinery, including motors, sensors, drives, control panels, and basic automation.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, technical manuals, and work instructions.
• Proficient in performing preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Preferred knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Competent in machine setup, calibration, adjustments, and changeovers.
• Understanding of manufacturing workflows, process controls, and quality standards.
• Capable of supporting product trials, process validations, and new implementations.
• Effective problem-solving aptitude and ability to operate well under pressure during production interruptions.
• Basic computer literacy for maintenance reporting and documentation.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, quality, and operational standards.

Preferred Profile

• Technical diploma or qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Manufacturing Technology, or similar fields.
• 5 to 7 years of experience within manufacturing or industrial maintenance environments.
• Hands-on experience in production support, machine maintenance, troubleshooting, changeovers, process improvement, and new product introduction.
• Proactive, flexible, and capable of working independently or collaboratively within teams.
• Good command of written and spoken English; Arabic language skills are advantageous for local communication.
