Job description
Job Overview
The Service Engineer will carry out preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair machinery directly at client sites. This role combines technical expertise with customer interaction, providing support both in-person and through phone/email communication.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment, focusing on precision CNC machine tools.
- Engage with clients to understand technical issues and provide effective solutions.
- Demonstrate knowledge of machine tool components including guideways, ball screws, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, and coolant systems with appropriate troubleshooting techniques.
- For CNC application aspects, handle CNC programming, component verification, time studies, and establishing process capabilities.
- Interpret engineering drawings and possess a good understanding of machining processes such as grinding, cutting, and milling.
- Manage multiple assignments under pressure, working independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Possess a valid two-wheeler driving license and be prepared for frequent travel up to 80 kilometers within the region and to other towns as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of practical experience as a Field Service Engineer in the mechanical domain.
- Hands-on experience with precision CNC machinery and mechanical equipment.
