Service Engineer

Job Overview

The Service Engineer role involves conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and on-site machine repairs at client facilities. This position requires technical expertise alongside client interaction, providing support both in person and through phone or email communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair machines directly at client locations.
• Offer technical assistance and support to clients efficiently and courteously.
• Maintain professional communication via telephone and email with clients for issue resolution.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer focused on mechanical systems, preferably with precision CNC machine tools.
• Diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field.
• Comprehensive knowledge of machine tool modules such as guideways, ball screws, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, coolant systems, along with their troubleshooting techniques.
• Direct experience or familiarity with CNC programming, component testing, time studies, and capability process establishment for CNC applications.
• Understanding of machining operations including grinding, cutting, and milling.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
• Ability to manage stress and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Capable of working independently with limited supervision and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster client relationships and teamwork.
• Must hold a valid two-wheeler driving license and be willing to travel regularly up to 80 km to client sites and possibly to other towns as required.

Compensation

Monthly salary ranges from INR 25,000 to INR 32,000.
