Repair Technician

About the Role

This position is located at Satair in Singapore and focuses on performing comprehensive maintenance tasks for aircraft components, including inspection, operational testing, repairs, and modifications where necessary to ensure optimal functionality.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct full repair duties on assigned aircraft components under supervision.
• Execute repair, overhaul, and modification activities aligned with approved technical guidelines.
• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance per manufacturer and directive requirements.
• Perform troubleshooting, testing, and operational verification of components.
• Engage in product audits to ensure strict compliance with OEM standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, OEMs, and management to resolve technical issues related to aircraft component systems.
• Manage requisitioning materials as prescribed by established procedures.
• Receive training to develop multi-skilled capabilities across core and secondary technical areas.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Participate in production planning, cross-training initiatives, including delivering technical and recurrent training to peers.
• Contribute to hazard identification and risk assessment activities as required.
• Support new capability evaluations and setup projects when requested.
• Involve in continuous improvement projects to enhance workshop efficiency, particularly within test/repair engineering and broader business processes.

Candidate Profile

• Diploma holder in Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Avionics Engineering preferred.
• Background in Mechanical or Avionics Engineering principles.
• Proficient with computers and capable of learning new software tools; familiarity with SAP, email, and database applications.
• Strong interpersonal capabilities to maintain effective working relationships across departments and stakeholders.
• Ability to operate in a multicultural international environment.
• Focused on achieving results and accomplishing tasks efficiently.
• Highly motivated, cooperative, proactive, and adaptable to change.
