We are a clean energy organisation headquartered in Auckland, New Zealand, focusing on the development, construction, ownership, and operation of renewable energy projects nationwide. Our portfolio includes utility-scale solar, wind power, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). Committed to long-term project stewardship, we oversee all stages from initial feasibility studies to ongoing operation. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in engineering design and technical evaluations for solar, wind, and battery storage projects across all phases.
- Prepare detailed energy yield assessments, site analyses, and perform technical due diligence.
- Help manage grid connection applications and coordinate with Transpower as well as local electricity network companies.
- Critically review technical submissions from EPC contractors, consultants, and equipment providers.
- Support on-site construction and commissioning efforts, which require travel to project locations throughout New Zealand.
- Analyze operational performance data of assets to suggest enhancements.
- Develop and refine engineering tools, templates, and standards used by the team.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, civil, environmental engineering, or closely related fields.
- Exhibit a clear enthusiasm for renewable energy and its role in the transition to clean power.
- Strong analytical skills with high proficiency in data handling and spreadsheets.
- Effective communicator able to simplify complex technical information.
- Proactive, inquisitive, and self-motivated with a strong ownership mindset and desire to learn fast.
- Legal authorization to work in New Zealand is required.
- Energy-related internships or project experience are advantageous but not mandatory; we value aptitude and attitude highly and provide thorough training.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary ranging from NZD 70,000 to 90,000, aligned with experience.
- Flexible hybrid working model based in our Auckland office.
- Clearly defined career development roadmap supported by senior engineer mentorship.
- Hands-on involvement across the entire project lifecycle for multiple renewable technologies.
- Benefits include employer contributions to KiwiSaver, generous annual leave allowances, and wellbeing programs.
- Support for ongoing professional growth including pathways to Chartered Professional Engineer status via Engineering New Zealand.
- Opportunity to build a long-term career with a company actively growing operational clean energy assets.
