About the Role
As a Relief Dispenser, you will join the pharmacy teams across various stores within a specified region, playing an essential role in assisting pharmacists and healthcare professionals. Your focus will be on ensuring the accurate and safe dispensing of prescriptions and offering health advice to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescriptions while adhering to all safety and legal standards, including ordering, labelling, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members in-store to support pharmacy service delivery.
- Offer patients advice about medications and direct complex queries to pharmacists as necessary.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) strictly for safe medication distribution.
- Stay current with innovations and operational processes within the store.
- Help patients manage their prescriptions through reliable repeats and medication adherence to minimize waste.
- Communicate effectively with store teams to maintain continuity of care.
- Work with evolving dispensing technology to enhance patient safety and free up more time to engage with patients.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 or equivalent.
- Ability to travel flexibly across a designated geographic area.
- Have valid UK right to work documentation; note this role does not sponsor Skilled Worker Visas.
Experience in community pharmacy settings is advantageous but not essential.
