Job description

Position Overview

The role of Relief Dispenser involves working across multiple pharmacy locations within a designated area, supporting pharmacists and healthcare teams to deliver safe and efficient pharmacy services. You'll play a vital role in engaging with patients to understand their needs, dispensing prescriptions accurately, managing medicine sales, and providing advice to promote informed health choices.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescriptions ensuring safe medication supply including ordering, labeling, endorsing, and collection processes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals within the store to facilitate pharmacy service management and delivery.
  • Offer care guidance and medicine-related advice to patients, escalating queries to pharmacists as needed.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures to maintain legal and safety standards in dispensing.
  • Stay informed of in-store innovations and comply with operational protocols.
  • Assist patients in managing prescriptions efficiently to encourage medication adherence and reduce wastage.
  • Coordinate communication with store teams to uphold continuous patient care.
  • Engage with emerging technologies that enhance traditional dispensing and improve patient safety.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must have completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ Level 2 or an equivalent certification.
  • Flexible availability to travel across assigned locations within the geographical area.
  • Valid UK right to work is mandatory; sponsorship for Skilled Worker Visas is not available.
  • Experience in community pharmacy is advantageous.
