Role Overview
The Relationship Manager for Priority Banking is responsible for attracting, expanding, and managing financial relationships with affluent clients through comprehensive banking products and team collaboration, aiming to deliver complete financial solutions tailored to clients’ needs.
Core Responsibilities
- Generate new business by leveraging marketing activities, contacts at gold centers, and existing networks.
- Enhance team revenue and productivity through cross-selling and upselling efforts.
- Acquire new customers who have not previously banked with the institution.
- Identify and evaluate potential new branch locations to support expansion.
- Convert inbound and outbound leads into sales opportunities.
- Establish and maintain trustworthy relationships with key clients.
- Maintain a loyal clientele and alliances that refer prospective customers.
- Promote financial products and services effectively.
- Collect and analyze client information and data.
- Assess clients' risk profiles and their capacity to manage financial risks.
- Refer clients to other channels based on needs and facilitate smooth Priority Banking services across branches.
- Monitor service levels to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Engage personally in resolving complaints, inquiries, and prevent account closures to retain customers.
- Gather ad-hoc feedback from customer interactions.
- Review credit applications, comply with processes and ensure adequate documentation.
- Detect error trends and proactively suggest improvements in procedures.
Required Expertise and Qualifications
- University degree or a recognized professional certification.
- At least three years' experience in financial analysis, financial markets, investments, wealth management, or financial planning.
- Comprehensive understanding of the bank's retail banking products and services.
- Background in sales, product development, or wealth advisory catering to priority banking or retail clients.
- Minimum five years of banking experience within the UAE.
Specialized Knowledge & Certifications
- Thorough knowledge of retail credit and operational policies and procedures of the bank.
- Familiarity with UAE banking regulations, practices, and associated risks.
- Certification in UAE Financial Rules & Regulations.
- International Certificates in Wealth and Investment Management (Level 3) and Advanced Wealth Management (Level 4).
- Certification in Risk in Financial Services.
- Insight into local market competitors.
- Proven leadership experience managing professional teams.
- Detailed understanding of service delivery standards.
- Training and presentation capabilities.
- Proficiency with computers and relevant software.
