Job description
Role Overview
The Credit Analyst will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to branches and Decision Support Units (DSUs) by reviewing and processing finance applications accurately and efficiently within approved policies. This opportunity is exclusive to UAE Nationals.
Primary Responsibilities
- Review credit applications for completeness and timely submission, identifying any discrepancies for correction.
- Prepare accurate and error-free credit documentation.
- Ensure vigilance in applying duplicate checks (de-dupes) and adhere to agreed turnaround times.
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies and ensure satisfactory risk rating assessments.
- Analyze bank statements to verify authenticity, assess business turnover, monitor cheque returns and average balances, and detect any potential fabrication.
- Evaluate financial statements of applicants and provide detailed commentary where necessary.
- Verify customer status using de-dupes and CBRB systems.
- Meet daily assigned targets while minimizing errors as measured by performance scorecards.
- Escalate cases requiring higher approval limits with thorough analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Maintain current knowledge of ADIB products, policies, and procedures.
- Proactively suggest system improvements and ensure compliance with all procedural policies.
- Exhibit strong teamwork and maintain a positive attitude.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as delegated by ADIB Management.
Expected Outcomes
- Assist the business in achieving monthly budget goals and target acquisitions while ensuring a high-quality credit portfolio.
- Support the capture of customers within acceptable parameters following Central Bank regulations.
- Contribute effectively to daily underwriting operations.
- Enhance communication and collaboration with branches and DSUs.
- Provide constructive feedback on submitted finance applications.
- Ensure adherence to all operational controls in line with ADIB policies and procedures during daily activities.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong credit analysis skills and banking knowledge.
- At least 3 years of experience in banking, preferably within finance and credit sectors.
- In-depth understanding of ADIB’s retail banking credit products and services.
- Comprehensive knowledge of retail credit and operational policies adopted by ADIB.
- Familiarity with UAE banking regulations, practices, and risk management.
- Effective communication abilities.
- Proficiency with computer applications relevant to banking operations.
