Role Overview
The Relationship Associate operates as a key support to Relationship Managers, simplifying banking processes while delivering tailored solutions and insightful advice to customers. This role cultivates risk management, credit expertise, and strong relationship-building skills, presenting excellent growth potential toward Relationship Management responsibilities.
Based in our Nelson branch, this permanent full-time position involves standard working hours Monday through Friday, totaling 37.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers attentively, understanding their business and service requirements thoroughly.
- Collaborate with Relationship and Senior Managers along with product teams to create and implement appropriate customer solutions.
- Support financial analysis and accurately interpret customer data to facilitate informed credit decisions.
- Help in expanding and nurturing the customer base through strong relationship development and resolving client needs efficiently.
- Provide insights and advice to empower customers to succeed financially.
- Build and maintain networks by connecting with internal and external stakeholders across various sectors.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in establishing robust stakeholder and customer relationships within service environments.
- Strong analytical capabilities with a focus on financial data and trend evaluation.
- Background in finance, lending, or roles involving credit assessment.
- Good knowledge of security structures linked to lending practices.
- Experience in the banking or financial services sector is preferred.
While not every skill is mandatory, a growth mindset and willingness to learn are highly valued.
