Regulatory Readiness Program Manager, APAC

About the Role

The Regulatory Readiness team at Meta ensures preparedness for changing global regulations by monitoring and driving responses to regulatory developments affecting products and billions of users worldwide. This role focuses on the Asia-Pacific region, working to deliver regulatory risk insights, lead readiness programs, and coordinate cross-functional efforts in one of the most dynamic regulatory landscapes globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the management of regulatory inquiries, statutory requests, investigations, and consultations across APAC, ensuring accurate and timely compliance and transparency reports.
• Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration by managing new regulatory demands, developing response approaches, engaging experts in legal, policy, and product domains, and enforcing deadlines.
• Monitor evolving APAC regulatory developments to prioritize and drive readiness initiatives, preparing teams for new obligations and enforcement timelines.
• Create executive-level communications summarizing response progress, compliance status, and emerging risks, translating complex issues into clear materials for diverse stakeholders.
• Design and enhance scalable workflows and tools to improve efficiency and consistency in responding to increasing regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in program management, regulatory affairs, public policy, compliance, risk management, or related disciplines.
• Proven capability managing multifaceted, time-sensitive projects involving multiple stakeholders and strict deadlines.
• In-depth experience working across APAC regulatory frameworks, with expertise in at least two to three key jurisdictions.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Ability to incorporate AI technologies to enhance workflows and achieve measurable improvements in efficiency and quality.
• Background in responsible and ethical AI implementation, including risk assessments, bias mitigation, and quality reviews.
• Ongoing development of AI-related skills such as prompt engineering and agent orchestration, with staying updated on emerging AI trends.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of producing polished materials under pressure.
• Strong organizational aptitude with a talent for driving accountability in fast-paced environments.
• Experience navigating APAC regulatory frameworks and managing transparency or compliance reporting.
• Holding an advanced degree in law, public policy, international relations, political science, or similar fields.
• Experience collaborating with global organizations across multiple time zones.
• Proficiency in at least one APAC language besides English to engage directly with regional regulators and stakeholders.
• Expertise in managing relationships with regulators or government representatives.
• Sector experience related to technology areas such as content regulation, data privacy, AI governance, online safety, or platform accountability.
