Job description
Position Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive care to a defined group of patients with minimal supervision by utilizing nursing processes and adhering to clinical standards. The nurse will responsibly delegate appropriate patient care tasks to other healthcare team members while maintaining professional accountability and seeking personal growth opportunities. This role promotes clinical care grounded in evidence and strives for clinical excellence.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Certifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification if required by the department
- Preferred nursing specialty areas are a plus
- Educational background: Associate's Degree or Nursing Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Minimum of six months of RN experience required. New graduate RNs or soon-to-be graduates should consider applying for the Clinical Nurse Residency program
Work Schedule and Other Details
- Location: Mease Dunedin Hospital, Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand
- Full-time position with a non-exempt status
- Day shift hours: 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
- Weekend rotation: every other weekend
- No on-call duties
- Remote work is not applicable; position is entirely onsite
