Position Overview
We seek a full-time, permanent Registered Architect for our Auckland studio to engage in multidisciplinary projects across New Zealand and Australia. This role entails close collaboration with studio directors and project teams to achieve top-tier design, documentation, and construction outcomes. Leadership responsibilities include mentoring and supervising architects and junior staff to meet deadlines and project goals.
Required Skills and Experience
- Registered qualification in Architecture recognized by New Zealand authorities.
- In-depth knowledge of local and national planning regulations, legislation, and building codes.
- Proven expertise across various project phases with strong design, technical, and documentation skills.
- Capability to participate in conceptual, design development, and construction documentation stages.
- Able to manage project coordination and deliver multiple tasks effectively within quality, scope, and time constraints.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster effective relationships with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
- Self-motivated, able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows to deliver quality project documentation and coordination; higher level BIM expertise is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Prepare conceptual and design development deliverables as well as comprehensive construction documentation for diverse project types.
- Coordinate with sub-consultants, ensure documentation completeness and compliance with building codes, standards, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Contribute to studio operations by assisting with fee proposals, tender submissions, and business development activities.
- Enhance team culture by supporting BIM processes and mentoring junior staff members.
