About the Role

WSP, a leading global professional services firm, invites you to join its New Zealand finance leadership team as a Regional Controller. This dynamic role focuses on delivering high-quality accounting guidance and acting as the primary accounting advisor within the organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will engage closely with various business units to provide insightful financial advice.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will bring strategic and commercial acumen to financial leadership, showcasing strong judgment and executive presence. You will simplify complex financial data for stakeholders, influence organizational decisions, and steer teams effectively through periods of change. Additionally, you will lead financial operations, managing relationships with global support and business service teams.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Extensive senior-level experience in finance and accounting or finance leadership, ideally within complex, project-driven, or professional services organizations.
• Proven ability to influence and advise senior executives and operational leaders by translating complex financial information into clear, actionable decisions.
• Demonstrated leadership of finance teams in a matrixed environment, with strengths in coaching, prioritization, stakeholder management, and guiding change initiatives.
• Strong proficiency in financial systems, including ERP, enterprise performance management, and business intelligence tools; experience in finance transformations, shared services, or ERP implementations is a plus.
