Refrigeration & Services Engineer

Role Overview

At our Lorneville facility, we are seeking a Refrigeration and Services Engineer to be an integral member of our Engineering team. This specialized position plays a vital role in maintaining steam and hot water services, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, and optimally to support production demands.

Key Duties

• Operate boilers, engine room, plant refrigeration, and related machinery safely and efficiently to support plant processes.
• Handle coal and ash systems operations effectively.
• Conduct monitoring, servicing, and upkeep of boiler and refrigeration units.
• Manage boiler chemical dosing and maintain operational data records diligently.
• Supervise SCADA systems to monitor plant functions.
• Perform both scheduled and urgent maintenance tasks as required.
• Contribute actively to ensuring the reliability and safety of the site’s energy infrastructure.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses at least an ENCHEM Level 3 qualification.
• Strong capabilities in maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Detail-oriented approach to all tasks.
• Effective communication skills and intermediate proficiency in computer applications.
• Demonstrates a firm commitment to health and safety standards.
• Flexible to work shifts, including weekends.
• Holds legal authorization to work in New Zealand.
