In 2026, the company plans to expand its platform into a broader hospitality ecosystem by integrating selected technology partners to enhance the guest experience throughout the entire hotel journey.
Role Overview
As a Recruiter specializing in Technology and Operations, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end recruiting activities across our organization, focusing strongly on technical positions while also supporting operations and other business functions. Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, you will collaborate closely with hiring managers to fulfill our talent needs. This role requires a proactive, self-driven recruiter comfortable with full ownership of the hiring process, including sourcing, engagement, assessment, and relationship-building with candidates, predominantly within the tech talent sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the entire recruitment lifecycle independently—from defining role requirements with hiring managers through candidate sourcing, interviewing, offer negotiation, and closing.
- Focus recruitment efforts on technical roles across Engineering, Product, Data, and other technology-driven departments.
- Provide recruitment support and conduct hiring for Operations roles and selected business positions as needed.
- Actively build and nurture talent pipelines via direct sourcing channels, including LinkedIn, referrals, and professional networks, minimizing reliance on passive applications.
- Collaborate effectively with hiring managers and the Senior HR Manager to capture accurate hiring needs, challenge specifications when appropriate, and maintain a smooth, efficient recruitment process.
- Ensure a positive, professional candidate experience representing Smart Host throughout the recruitment journey.
- Take full ownership of recruitment roles, prioritize competing demands, and maintain open communication with stakeholders.
- Support broader HR initiatives as capacity allows, contributing to team efforts beyond recruitment activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of recruiting processes, employer branding, and overall talent acquisition strategies.
Candidate Profile
- Several years of proven recruiting experience, especially with successful technology hiring.
- Deep understanding of technical profiles and the ability to devise and execute effective sourcing strategies for technical talent, including software engineers.
- Demonstrated ability to manage recruitment processes independently with full accountability.
- Highly proactive with a self-starter attitude, able to identify needs and take initiative without waiting for direction.
- Expertise in sourcing and engaging passive candidates and building robust talent pipelines from scratch.
- Experience recruiting for Operations and other non-technical business functions is highly valued.
- Strong stakeholder management skills; effective communicator able to advise and challenge hiring managers and senior stakeholders constructively.
- Hands-on and pragmatic approach; willing to tackle various HR tasks and support shifting team priorities as needed.
- A strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering excellent experiences for both candidates and hiring teams.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written; proficiency in German is an advantage.
- Legal authorization to work in Germany without visa sponsorship; only candidates residing in Germany will be considered.
