This position is based at Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort, a luxury coastal destination offering pristine beaches and adventure in the UAE’s northernmost emirate. The Recreation Attendant will ensure exceptional guest experiences through high-quality sports and leisure offerings.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the daily management of Sports & Recreation operations to maximize guest satisfaction.
• Develop engaging, culturally and regionally inspired activities to distinguish the hotel's leisure options and maintain outsourced service quality.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of all hotel sports, leisure activities, and equipment.
• Enforce all health and safety standards in recreational programs, especially prioritizing child safety.
• Lead the delivery of the Minor Hotels Children program.
• Guarantee all activities are conducted safely with appropriate techniques and qualified personnel in specialized areas such as fitness, aerobics, and lifeguarding.
• Evaluate program effectiveness through participation rates and guest feedback, adjusting offerings to maintain high quality and enjoyment.
• Collaborate with the Minor Hotels Concierge to communicate event information clearly to guests.
• Partner with the Spa team to enhance guest satisfaction and boost hotel revenue through integrated wellness experiences.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of equipment in gyms, sports, watersports, and other recreational facilities.
• Provide gym guests with guidance, motivation, and knowledge to help them achieve their fitness goals.
• Keep thorough records of guest fitness progress for effective follow-up.
• Foster strong teamwork across departments to create a seamless guest experience.
• Ensure accurate accounting processes are followed for Sports & Recreation fees.
• Take on additional relevant duties and special projects as directed by management.
• Work proactively to increase department revenue streams.

Candidate Qualifications

• Experience in recreation or related fields.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Helpful and approachable demeanor with professionalism in guest interaction.
• Understanding of basic safety protocols and emergency response capabilities.
• Physical ability to stand for long durations and participate or oversee activities.
• Effective team collaboration skills.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
• Basic know-how of maintaining recreational equipment and facilities.
