Recreation Assistant (Facilities Operator) NF-02

Job Overview

This position serves as an assistant to the Facilities Operations Team Leader, helping to carry out assignments, explaining policies and procedures, and ensuring quality and quantity standards are met. Flexibility to work across different facility locations based on customer needs or scheduled activities is required.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in securing facilities by opening and closing them, locking/unlocking doors and windows, and ensuring security systems function properly.
• Manage issuance and return of recreational equipment to authorized users, collect fees, safeguard funds, and process daily bank deposits.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, supplies, and facility areas.
• Operate equipment and perform routine maintenance; submit work orders for repairs beyond self-help capabilities.

Employment Requirements

• Possession of a valid Social Security card and enrollment in direct deposit.
• Meet all qualifications, eligibility, and background clearance standards.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and special Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) events.
• A probationary period of one year may be required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience securing facilities, issuing equipment, collecting fees (e.g., trip registrations, equipment rentals), and monitoring inventories.
• Valid driver's license is mandatory.
• Resume should be two pages or less and clearly reflect relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities.

Additional Information

• The vacancy is open to candidates residing within a 100 km (60 miles) radius of Baumholder, Germany, including certain preference categories such as Spouse Employment Preference (SEP), Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP), and Family Member Preference (FMP).
