Role Overview

This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the receipt of goods and services, ensuring all deliveries comply with authorized quality, quantity, pricing, contractual agreements, and Rixos Hotels' standards. The role interfaces with Purchasing, Stores, Cost Control, and operational teams to maintain thorough documentation and adherence to procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct verifications of received items against purchase orders, contracts, specifications, quantities, prices, and quality benchmarks.
• Arrange delivery timings collaboratively with the Storekeeper and other relevant departments.
• Detect discrepancies upon receipt, managing returns or replacements for items that do not meet standards.
• Accurately process purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documentation.
• Assist the Purchasing Chief with supplier interactions, price and market research, and procurement processes.
• Provide support during supplier visits, inventory counts, and cost control operations.
• Manage urgent and minor quantity purchase requests in coordination with the Purchasing Driver.
• Ensure all procurement and receiving activities are compliant with Rixos Hotels’ policies, procedures, quality criteria, and Code of Conduct.
• Collaborate with the Storekeeper and relevant departments to guarantee effective and precise receiving operations.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school or a vocational qualification relevant to the role; possessing a degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Hospitality, or related fields will be advantageous.
• Prior experience in Receiving, Purchasing, Inventory Management, or Cost Control, ideally within the hotel or hospitality industry.
• Solid understanding of goods receiving processes, purchase order management, invoice handling, stock control, and supplier coordination.
