R&D Product Development Engineer

Overview

This role involves supporting the development of isolation semiconductor products tailored for automotive and industrial sectors. The engineer will oversee the entire product lifecycle from definition through design, testing, and characterization.

Key Responsibilities

• Define product specifications and lead the design, testing, and characterization of new isolation products.
• Engage with cross-functional teams including IC design, test, process, product, quality engineering, manufacturing, and contract manufacturers to facilitate R&D initiatives and validate product performance.
• Plan and execute engineering projects aimed at achieving specific targets and delivering significant improvements in manufacturing yield, quality, and product reliability.
• Analyze product yield data and investigate device failures to identify root causes and implement remedial actions.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A degree, master's, or PhD in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering with at least seven years of experience in semiconductor R&D and product development.
• Demonstrated expertise in analog design, opto-electronics design, and/or power MOSFET design.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the capability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Strong technical proficiency in semiconductor product characterization, yield analysis and improvement, bench testing, and automated test equipment (ATE) testing.
• Experience utilizing statistical analysis tools for handling volume data and conducting semiconductor physical failure analysis.
• Leadership experience in new product introduction projects, particularly in advancing products from verification and qualification to high-volume soft launches, is advantageous.
