Position Overview

Circle Reading Hospital, a part of Circle Health Group—one of Britain's foremost independent healthcare providers—invites applications for a Radiographer. This permanent, full-time position involves a 37.5-hour workweek with a flexible shift schedule. Salary can reach up to £40,000 annually, depending on expertise and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct a broad range of diagnostic radiography procedures including general X-rays, theatre imaging, fluoroscopy, and mobile imaging, adhering to referrals and established protocols.
• Produce high-quality images to facilitate precise diagnostics while minimizing repeat exposures.
• Adjust imaging techniques to accommodate patient-specific needs, such as pediatric, bariatric, and mobility-restricted individuals.
• Deliver patient-focused, safe, and dignified care; ensure patients are well-informed, at ease, and reassured throughout the imaging process.
• Monitor patients' status during procedures and promptly respond to any clinical changes.
• Maintain and inspect imaging equipment regularly for safety and functionality, reporting any issues without delay.
• Support the adoption and utilization of advanced imaging technologies and digital platforms, including PACS and RIS.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including radiologists, consultants, nursing staff, porters, and administration to promote streamlined patient care pathways.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or an equivalent qualification.
• Registered with HCPC in Diagnostic Radiography.
• Have at least six months’ UK hospital experience (NHS or private), demonstrating competence with general radiographic techniques and equipment.
• Understand regulations such as IR(ME)R, along with standards for health and safety, infection prevention, and patient confidentiality.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and a strong patient-centered approach.
• Capable of working independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team.
• Postgraduate specialization or additional training in areas like CT, MRI, theatre imaging, or mammography is advantageous.
