Senior Radiographer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Radiographer to join the Imaging department at Circle Cheshire Clinic, part of Circle Health Group, a leading independent healthcare provider with a nationwide network of hospitals and clinics in the UK. This permanent role involves working 37.5 hours weekly, with the expectation to cover flexible shift patterns.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient, safe, and consistent delivery of quality imaging services to patients and visitors.
• Perform general and specialised radiographic procedures within agreed scope, maintaining high technical and quality standards.
• Assess patients and interpret clinical needs to decide on appropriate radiographic techniques.
• Conduct imaging examinations following department policies, employing methods that minimize radiation exposure while producing diagnostic-quality images.
• Adhere to radiation protection protocols, Local Rules, and Systems of Work.
• Comply with departmental IRMER and Radiation Safety guidelines.
• Engage in supervision, training, and peer review within area of expertise.
• Accurately charge for imaging services according to guidelines and meet hospital billing requirements.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in acute healthcare environments.
• Competence in customer care, including managing challenging interactions.
• Ability to perform intravenous contrast injections.
• Possession of a Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
• Registration with the Healthcare Professionals Council (HCPC).
• General radiography experience and training.
• Proven experience in general x-ray and MRI; CT experience is advantageous.
• Familiarity with IT systems such as RIS and PACS.
• Understanding of healthcare sector systems and processes.
• Knowledge of College of Radiographers and HCPC Codes of Conduct and Accountability.
