Quick Lube Technician

About the Role

Join the team at Wellington Motors Ltd., part of the AutoCanada dealership network, as a Quick Lube Technician based in Guelph, Ontario. This full-time position involves direct responsibility for inspecting and lubricating vehicles following established service guidelines, along with performing light mechanical tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Change oil and filters on vehicles efficiently and correctly.
• Promote and sell lubrication, safety inspections, and accompanying automotive services.
• Conduct thorough multi-point vehicle inspections, documenting all findings and communicating them to the Service Advisor.
• Replace air and oil filters as necessary.
• Check and replenish vehicle fluid levels to maintain optimal performance.
• Ensure tire pressure is adequate, inflating tires as needed.
• Apply proper lubricants to all moving parts as specified.
• Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires according to standards.
• Liaise with the parts department to acquire required supplies.
• Report any equipment defects or malfunctions to supervisors promptly.
• Record every task performed on the repair orders meticulously.
• Engage in manufacturer-sponsored training courses assigned by management to enhance skills.
• Maintain cleanliness of customers' vehicles during servicing.
• Immediately inform the Service Advisor of any damage or changes to vehicle condition.
• Keep the workshop area organized and clean for safety and efficiency.
• Operate all tools and equipment following safety protocols.
• Report any safety hazards immediately to management.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Candidate Requirements

• Completion of high school education or equivalent.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions correctly.
• Professional attitude with a strong commitment to work ethics.
• Effective communication and good organizational skills.
• Capable problem-solving aptitude.
• Comfortable working independently and cooperatively within a team environment.
• High integrity and consistent reliability.
• Physically capable of handling demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects, prolonged standing, and use of hand and power tools.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and a history of safe driving.

Compensation Details
