Quantity Surveyor

Job Description

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Trace Design & Build in Singapore. This role involves collaborating with suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure accurate measurement, valuation, and administration of construction contracts mainly for landed properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the selection process of qualified suppliers and subcontractors for various construction projects.
• Measure and assess the work completed at different construction phases to prepare periodic payment requests for clients.
• Review and verify subcontractors’ progress claims alongside the Project Manager or assigned staff, ensuring precise quantity assessments and quality standards.
• Assist Senior Quantity Surveyors in managing contract documentation, including progress claims, variation orders, and extension of time (EOT) claims.
• Contribute to resolving final accounts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors efficiently.
• Maintain awareness of project timelines and handle tender-related activities effectively.
• Engage in clear communication with internal architects, project managers, and site teams to execute progress claims and fulfill contractual requirements.
• Conduct site and supplier visits to confirm work progress, material quality, and proposals as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, or an equivalent field from an accredited university.
• At least 2 to 5 years of relevant experience primarily in a Main Contractor company, preferably involved with landed property construction in Singapore.
• Strong teamwork attitude, eagerness to learn, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Project, and Word applications.
• Good command of English; Mandarin language skills are an advantage.
