About the Role
Join Parsons as a Quantity Surveyor and become part of a major infrastructure Project Management Office (PMO) in Riyadh. Parsons encourages innovation, values individuals, and fosters a culture that supports growth and career advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the commercial assessment of tender submissions by evaluating quantities and costs.
- Develop, review, and validate cost estimates and project budgets post-design package release.
- Examine and confirm the completeness and accuracy of designers' Bills of Quantities (BOQs), both priced and unpriced.
- Lead and aid the PMCM Quantity Surveying team in completing BOQ remeasurements throughout project phases.
- Assess Interim Payment Applications after PMCM review, focusing on quantity measurement and valuation logic.
- Support the evaluation of Change Orders, variations, and claims involving quantity calculations and cost impact analyses.
- Create high-level cost estimates for variations, confidential studies, and client-specific requests.
- Contribute to the creation and ongoing update of program-level cash flow forecasts.
- Review substantial quantities related to client-driven changes such as fill materials, bridge cladding, and landscaping.
- Collaborate with PMCM commercial teams to ensure consistency and quality in submissions.
- Facilitate workshops with designers on quantity take-off methods and BOQ organization.
- Provide independent cost advice to clients as requested.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
- Over 10 years of experience, ideally on significant infrastructure or road projects.
- Extensive pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying expertise.
- Experience working in PMO/PMC or client-side positions is highly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and cost analysis techniques.
- Prior experience in GCC countries, specifically Saudi Arabia, is required.
