Quantity Surveyor

Job Overview

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing tender and contract documentation, estimating project quantities, sourcing subcontractors and suppliers, pricing submissions, and procurement negotiations throughout project duration. Key duties also include preparing Bills of Quantities (BQ), handling variation orders, cost estimation and control, budget management, generating cash flow forecasts, and managing project claims. Additional responsibilities involve performing various QS functions assigned by senior management, as well as reviewing and analyzing company key performance indicators and spearheading strategies for improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage tender and contract documents efficiently.
• Estimate quantities, source subcontractors and suppliers, and prepare pricing submissions.
• Negotiate and procure materials and equipment during projects.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities, manage variation orders, estimate costs, control expenditures, and oversee budgeting.
• Generate cash flow statements and handle project claims.
• Perform other assigned Quantity Surveying tasks by the management team.
• Analyze company KPIs and develop initiatives to enhance performance.

Candidate Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying or related fields.
• Proficient in compiling and adhering to strict budgets with strong estimating and financial analysis capabilities.
• Excellent numerical aptitude and proficiency with spreadsheets.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, materials, pricing, and industry standards.
• Capability to manage multiple tenders and projects simultaneously.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Self-driven, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and cooperates well within a team.
