Quantity Surveyor (Facade)

Role Overview

The Quantity Surveyor (Facade) will play a critical role managing costs and contracts throughout both pre and post-contract stages of façade construction projects. This includes detailed cost planning, tender preparation, contract negotiation, and overseeing project expenditure to ensure financial and scheduling objectives are met.

Primary Duties

• Develop comprehensive cost estimates covering materials, labor, equipment, overheads, contingencies, and indirect expenses to assist in tendering efforts.
• Participate actively in the tender process by preparing and submitting necessary documentation.
• Negotiate contract terms with clients to establish fair and balanced agreements.
• Identify potential risks related to cost, quality, or scheduling, proposing strategies to mitigate them.
• Implement cost-efficient solutions to meet project goals.
• Track ongoing costs post-contract, monitor expenditures against budgets, and recommend corrective measures to control any overruns.
• Handle variations to project scope, evaluating financial and scheduling implications while negotiating adjustments with clients and subcontractors.
• Review subcontractor progress claims, issue payment certifications, and finalize account settlements.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of three years' experience specifically in façade construction projects.
• Strong problem-solving abilities paired with effective communication skills.
• Demonstrated capacity to work diligently and efficiently under pressure.
• Preference given to candidates proficient in Mandarin to facilitate smooth communication with Chinese team members.
